Also included are model Bible study programs and tips on improving adult Bible classes. A subscription service is available which automatically sends you copies of new studies. Now listed in their catalog are the resources available from the boards, commissions and auxiliaries for the LCMS. Many Bible studies are among the listings.

C.S.S. Publishing Co., 628 S. Main Street, Lima OH 45804 (800-537-1030). Among several adult studies they offer Losing Yet Gaining, a Christian Group Bible Study and Diet Control Program all in one.

Their “Apply-It-To-Life” series covers topics such as communication, evangelism, marriage, faith in the work place. Each topic covers four lessons, and your purchase includes the right to copy handout masters.

Kremer is a former Wisconsin Synod Lutheran principal who markets his one studies. One study deals in a concise and easy manner with the cult and occult: “Faith Shakers.” Another covers 54 names for our Lord Jesus, and still another helps equip lay people who have never witnessed before. Another interesting one teaches about angels.

The program is designed for three nine-week courses over the period of one year. Matthew, Genesis, Romans, John, 1 Peter & 1 John, Exodus, Hebrews, Acts, and Revelation are covered. It is also possible to incorporate a Lifelight for 2- to 4-year old while parents are in class!

Depending on the course selected, length of study ranges anywhere from a six hour day to a full year. Illustrations play a major role in these presentations.

The Kerygma Program, 300 Mt. Lebanon Boulevard, Suite 205, Pittsburgh, PA 15234 (800-537-9462). The Kerygma Program includes six studies. The first two require either 30 two-hour sessions or 60 one-hour sessions. Of these two, one leads the reader through the Bible from beginning to end, while the other treats the Bible whole by exploring in depth important themes. Other shorter studies include Genesis, Book of Revelation, and the Biblical concept of “peace.”

Volume 1 teaches the major themes of the Bible, Volume 2 teaches how God accomplished his will through Bible people, and Volume 3 deals with fundamental teachings.

There are videos listed in the catalog for junior high and high school students, as well as other videos for younger children which can help in their Christian growth. Segments from Dr. Dale Meyer's “On Main Street” program have been compiled into a video Bible study for Christian families. Other video packages are available for adults.

One leaders guide is offered for a six- part Lenten series that uses 25 minute video segments from the “Jesus of Nazareth” film. In an interesting study for youth, the main character uses a time machine to travel through the Old and New Testament.

Films for Christ is an interdenominational evangelical mission that produces and distributes Christian motion pictures and literature to spread the Gospel. They have some very helpful materials that emphasize creation over evolution.

These videos by Dr. Neil Anderson emphasize the freedom we have in Christ as we deal with personal and spiritual conflict. There are also series on Christian parenting and on counseling others toward freedom in Christ.

Examples of well-known videos used in this way are “Jesus of Nazareth” and “A.D.” Their particular, but not exclusive, emphasis is in the field of church history. One six-part series is entitled “From Christ to Constantine: The Trial and Testimony of the Early Church.” They have videos for children, Jr. High, youth, and adults.
