"Chosen for a Purpose," the convention's theme, will be explored in depth through featured presentations and discussion forums.
Convention business will include:
* Elections of persons to district offices;
* Enlightening and lively reports by the four councils of our District;
* Presentation and question and answer time by LCMS First Vice President, The Rev. Dr. William Diekelman;
* Presentation by the Synodical Blue Ribbon Task Force on Structure and Governance; and
* Sharing by The Rev. Dr. Robert Scudieri, National Mission Director of the Board for World Mission.
Thursday night will be an opportunity to participate in a special Communion service with District President, William Klettke together with brothers and sisters in Christ from all over the district.
A banquet Friday evening will provide good food, fellowship, special music by Don Wharton, and inspirational sharing about a special mission venture.
The convention will again be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Swedesboro, New Jersey (same location as 2006), reached via Exit 2, New Jersey Turnpike, and Exit 10, I-295.
